RSU 50 50 Students, Parents, Staff and Community,
Due to the smoke and soot from the garage fire earlier this week, we will be forced to engage in remote learning from Monday, March 8th - Friday, March 12th, 2021. During this time, our air exchange and ventilation systems are being serviced and cleaned. To clean these completely, the systems will need to be powered down. Due to Covid-19 restrictions, it is recommended by the Maine CDC that our air exchange be working in public areas to reduce the risk of the spread of Covid-19.
Remote learning will begin for Grades 6-12 on Monday, March 8th. Students taking Region Two courses will be required to attend classes in person. Any region two student who needs transportation to So. Aroostook to me meet the Region Two bus, you will need to contact the school at 757-8206 to arrange for a pick-up from a bus. If you need to pick up your device or other school materials here at school, please call or email Lisa in the high school office to arrange a time to pick them up. Middle/High School 2nd trimester report cards will now go home with students on Tuesday, March 16th.
For grades PK-5, remote learning will begin on Tuesday, March 9th. This will allow staff the opportunity to get devices to elementary students. The pick up for elementary devices and materials will be on Monday, March 8th between the hours of 1-5 PM. The devices for elementary students will be in the elementary entrance. If you are unable to pick up devices, please contact the school at 757-8206.
Food delivery will begin on Tuesday, March 9th. Everyone that received meals the week of December 1st, will also get them this week. If you were not on the list, and now want food delivered please contact the school. Food delivery will be Tuesday-Friday next week. Please remember to leave coolers out for food and materials.
We appreciate your flexibility and understanding as we navigate this unique situation. Please contact the school if you have any questions.
