Veterans’ Parade and Lunch
Southern Aroostook Elementary School would like to invite all Veterans from the Southern Aroostook District to a parade and take-home lunch. Due to Covid-19, we have had to make some changes to this celebration.
Please arrive at 10:45 am to line up your car for the parade. Drive around the school clockwise to get in line for the parade. There will be cones set up on the road at the beginning of our playground area. Cars should line up bumper to bumper behind the cones. The parade will start at 11:00 am with the Veterans driving on the road that goes through our playground area. Students will be lined up on each side of the driveway (social distancing) with flags to wave to the Veterans as they drive through. Once the parade reaches the garage area, there will be staff members there to load take-home meals in each car. Each Veteran will receive two take-home meals. We hope that you will join us as we show our appreciation for your service.
