RSU 50 would like to recognize these amazing ladies for their work here at SACS. Administrative Professionals Day was last week during April Vacation, so we celebrated today. Thank you Diana, Elaine, Lisa, & Lynn for everything you do for our staff and students each day!
The Southern Aroostook Community School District was saddened to hear of the passing of longtime educator Mr. Robert Locke. Mr. Locke taught History, Civics, Chorus, and Drivers Education to So. Aroostook students for decades. His impact on students lives went well beyond the classroom. He impacted the lives of many and we are grateful for his lifelong contributions to this community. Our thoughts are with his family and friends during this time.

I was in Mrs. Greene's office on Wednesday and saw her stash of yoga mats for her upcoming yoga class she's starting with some high school students. She inspired me to do yoga with some elementary classes today followed up with conversations about ways to keep our bodies and minds in control. The students were impressive, to say the least!
Mrs. Harbison's 6th Grade class took some time yesterday to celebrate Earth day by picking up some trash from around the outside of the building. Earth Day is next week on Thursday April 22nd.
The SACS Food Pantry will not be open today. We will post information about the next food pantry delivery day when it becomes available.
Mrs. Brewer's class made paper machete piggy banks yesterday. They did a great job! Thank you for sharing Mrs. Brewer.
Mrs. Lane's 8th Grade Digital Literacy Class have been designing and printing phone holders with a 3D printer. Here's are two examples of their work. Great job!
