Southern Aroostook High School Seniors on their class trip to Portland yesterday

Southern Aroostook High School students participated in the annual "Community Service Day" on Friday. This is a day our students work on various projects at school and in the the community as a small token of appreciation of everything the community does for our school and students. Students worked at Merrill Park, the Island Falls Cemetery, Va-Jo Wa Golf Course, Oakfield Park, the Outdoor Classroom, the school baseball and softball fields, and other small projects in and around the school building.
Thank you to the high school teachers, and NHS members who helped organize and facilitate this great day. Also, thank you to the High School Student Council for the great food at the cookout!










Grade 4 students in Mrs. Starrett’s classroom are learning how to identify cities, rivers & mountains in our State of Maine.

Today was a BIG day in the first grade! The students in Miss Lyons' and Mrs. Gallop's classes got to release the butterflies they raised! Check out the photos. They speak volumes!


After reading Esperanza Rising, Mrs. York’s fifth graders made their own yarn dolls.

Yesterday, our own talented writers attended the annual Young Authors' Conference at UMPI. Congratulations to Ember, Valerie, Beecher, Sara, Kinsley,, Emma, Thatcher, Lily and Tessa! It was a great day.

The public is invited to attend the RSU 50 District Budget Meeting tonight, May 28, 2025 @ 7:00 p.m. The meeting will all be held in the Multi Purpose Room at Southern Aroostook Community School.

The Southern Aroostook Middle/High School Band had a beautiful day to participate in Memorial Day Parade in Oakfield yesterday. Thank you to Band Director Jessica Crane for giving our students to participate in this annual event.

Last week, Southern Aroostook Community School 7th graders attended the annual Maine Learning Technology Initiative(MLTI) workshop at the University of Maine at Orono. It was a great day of learning and fun. Thank you to Mrs. Lane and Mrs. Greene for taking the students.

The due date for sending permission slips in for summer school was May 23rd. If you plan on your child attending, please send in the paperwork ASAP..

ALL SOUTHERN AROOSTOOK MIDDLE SCHOOL AND HIGH SCHOOL GAMES POSTPONED FOR FRIDAY MAY 23, 2025.
Middle School Baseball & Softball games vs Caribou have been canceled. No make-up date for these games.
High School Baseball & Softball games @ Central Aroostook High School have been postponed.
UPDATE: Today's High School games will be made up on Monday, May 26th. Game time is 4:00pm.
