FYI Summer Academy info. Tomorrow, Monday the 23rd our program will end at 1230 instead of 1130. We have a Chewonki presentation about mammals of Maine which extends our day. Busses will be an hour late. Thank you!

Congratulations to the Southern Aroostook High School softball team on their great season and playoff run to earn the Northern Class D Softball Runner-up Trophy last night at the University of Maine. The girls lost a tightly contested game vs. PVHS 3-2. The game was highlighted by some great pitching and defense by both sides. SAHS sophomore Brooke Shields went the distance in the circle, striking out 11 batters and only giving up two hits in a gutsy pitching performance against the undefeated (17-0) PVHS Howlers. SACS senior Hope Curry led the offense with two of the teams four hits in the game with one rbi. Picture credit to Candy Nevers.

The varsity softball girls and Coach Sherman would like to thank their parents for all their efforts to make this season and playoff run so memorable for the team as a whole and for the seniors. Thank you for all the food, the decorating and support! 💜 We also want to thank the SACS community for turning out in force and cheering us on this season. We loved the energy! 🥎💜🥎

The game will be played at the University of Maine, Game time is 7:00pm Below is the ticket information for tonight’s Class D Northern Regional Class D Softball Final at the University of Maine . there will be NO CASH sales at the venue. Here is a link to the GoFan page to buy the tickets: https://gofan.co/app/school/MPA There will be an iPad on site with a worker operating it as a “help desk” to sell tickets to those who need assistance. Free Digital Program link is here: bit.ly/4l86wS7 *UMAINE TRAFFIC: For all attending games at the University of Maine, please be aware of bridge construction on Stillwater Avenue and in downtown Orono. Traffic is two-way on Stillwater Avenue, but it is a temporary bridge that is feeling additional pressure from downtown Orono bridge construction. The downtown Orono bridge only permits Northbound traffic. If leaving the University Southbound traffic will be detoured away from the downtown area. If attending from the North we recommend using the Old Town exit to access the University. NFHS Network will be livestreaming the game. You must have a paid subscription to watch.

Ms. Lyons class spent today upta camp! Over the weekend their classroom got a makeover complete with tents, camp chairs, a camp fire and a frog pond! There's nothing better than a nice day at camp :)
