Congratulations to Southern Aroostook High School senior Keomi Jones on her acceptance to the University of Maine at Presque Isle! Keomi has been accepted into the Criminal Justice BA program for the Fall 2026 semester.

Congratulations to Southern Aroostook High School senior, Lincoln Hardy who was accepted to Eastern Maine Community College into the Refrigeration, Air Conditioning & Heating Technology program for Fall of 2026! Lincoln is also exploring opportunities at Northeast Technical Institute.

Good luck to the Southern Aroostook Middle School Girls & Boys Basketball teams in their home games today vs. Houlton. Game times are 3:30pm for the boys and 4:45 for the girls.

ANDREW LEWIS’ BUS RUN

ON THURSDAY, OCTOBER 30, 2025, STUDENTS THAT RIDE ANDREW LEWIS’ BUS WILL BE DISMISSED AT 1:15. LISA WILL TAKE ANDREW’S STUDENTS HOME AND RETURN TO DO HER BUS RUN AT 2:20.

Southern Aroostook High School Biology students dissected pumpkins and learned about plant anatomy and reproduction. They also prepared their own microscope slides to view plant cells from the pumpkin’s skin.

Also, Chemistry students learning about states of matter and chemical changes created Jack-o’-lantern slime volcanoes. Thank you for sharing Ms. Fitzherbert

SA photography class went outside to capture the beauty of the outdoor classroom and the SA trail system. Mr. Vetter was out there to give the tour! Students also worked on natural light portraits and composition.

Good luck to the Southern Aroostook High School Varsity Girls Soccer Team who will be playing in a Class D Girls Preliminary Game this afternoon @ Van Buren High School. Game time is 4:00pm.

This year, Mrs. Desmond’s second grade class is participating in the Adopt a Cow program. Today they had a gender reveal party where they were excited to learn that their calf is heifer named Doris.  She lives at UMaine’s Witter Farm. The students will receive monthly updates about Doris and will learn much more about the farming industry throughout the year.

Conferences are November 24th and 25th for grades K-5. Letters were sent home allowing parents to request preferred times. Please send those slips back ASP or call the office with your requested time.

Christopher Daniels, a senior at Southern Aroostook Community School, intends to join the Coast Guard after graduation from High School in June of 2026. Have a great year, Chris and congratulations!
